Rowan Class IOW Story Festival

 As part of the IOW story festival, Gurnard welcomed the poet Paul Lyalls. We had a fantastic afternoon listening to some of his poetry and then creating and sharing our own written works. A lovely afternoon!

Chestnut class have been working hard to complete a variety of different challenges around the classroom. Each week they have maths, writing, funky fingers, phonics, art and construction challenges. We love to recap prior learning through the challenges. This week we have explored number bonds to 10, using tricky words to create sentences, making shapes with peg boards, thinking about animals and their habitats and a variety of construction challenges.
