This week in computing, Rowan class had a great time creating animations in Scratch. The children were very creative, using different sounds, commands and backdrops to showcase their talents.
Rowan class had a great time today designing their own buildings, thinking carefully about who will use it, how it will be accessed and special design features.
In Science this week, the children enjoyed experimenting with forces! The children made their own ramps and carried out tests to see which cars travelled the furthest.
Last week, Rowan class enjoyed exploring the work of Friedrich Hundertwasser. The children recreating his designs using tissue paper and bright colours.
In science we have begun to look at forces, we tested which cars would travel the fastest on the car tracks that we built in teams, we also tested how high different size balls would bounce and we finished off the lesson with some fun running races to see who was the fastest!
Chestnut class have been learning to programme using the different building blocks on scratch. They had fun trialling different sequences and using the new building blocks that we had learnt about.
This half term Year 2 are exploring architecture and a range of different architects. This week we created artist pages based on the Austrian Artist Friedrich Hundertwasser.
