Art - Expressive Painting

 This half term we are exploring expressive painting and we started our topic by looking at two different artists. Our first Artist is Marela Zacarias and our second artist is Charlie French. We created inspiration pages inspired by the work of both artists.

Chestnut class have been working hard to complete a variety of different challenges around the classroom. Each week they have maths, writing, funky fingers, phonics, art and construction challenges. We love to recap prior learning through the challenges. This week we have explored number bonds to 10, using tricky words to create sentences, making shapes with peg boards, thinking about animals and their habitats and a variety of construction challenges. Welcome back Year 2

  Wow what an exciting start to the new school year we have had in year 2! We have settled in well and enjoyed catching up with our friends again. We have explored our new classrooms and enjoyed playing with lots of new and exciting resources.
