Chestnut Class

 This blog post is a bit of everything that we have been up to over the past couple of weeks. We have made a great start to addition and subtraction in Maths. We have been writing incredible fact files about Octopuses in English and we have begun our unit on Wheels and axles in DT. A great start to this half term and we look forward to all the exciting things coming up over the next couple of weeks.

Chestnut class have been working hard to complete a variety of different challenges around the classroom. Each week they have maths, writing, funky fingers, phonics, art and construction challenges. We love to recap prior learning through the challenges. This week we have explored number bonds to 10, using tricky words to create sentences, making shapes with peg boards, thinking about animals and their habitats and a variety of construction challenges.
