In Rowan class this week, the children have been learning all about wheels, axles and chassis. The children had great fun in creating their own - a wheely good lesson!
This week in phonics we have been learning different graphemes which make the ‘sh’ sound. We finished the week with a phonics board game which we all enjoyed.
Chestnut class have been working hard to complete a variety of different challenges around the classroom. Each week they have maths, writing, funky fingers, phonics, art and construction challenges. We love to recap prior learning through the challenges. This week we have explored number bonds to 10, using tricky words to create sentences, making shapes with peg boards, thinking about animals and their habitats and a variety of construction challenges. Well done Chestnut class.
Wow what an exciting start to the new school year we have had in year 2! We have settled in well and enjoyed catching up with our friends again. We have explored our new classrooms and enjoyed playing with lots of new and exciting resources.
